FSC Breu branco is regular available in the forest of Precious Woods, located in the Amazon region of Brazil. The trunk is mainly straight and has a diameter up to 80 cm.
Appearance:
The heartwood has a white grey colour with sometimes a light brown or pinkish shade. It is difficult to distinguish the sapwood. The grain is straight and often interlocked. The texture is medium coarse.
Working properties:
The working properties are good. Because of the presence of silica there is a blunting effect. In situations with interlocked grain sharp tools are needed to reach a smooth result. Finishing and gluing are reported to be good. Drying goes easy with less defects.

The light coloured timber can be used for interior applications like doors, window frames and carpentry.
