Due to economic developments in 2008 and 2009 and the moderate expectations for 2010,Precious Woods Europe was forced to implement a reorganization. This means large savings, but unfortunately also a dismissal of employees. In consultation with the unions a social plan was made for the affected employees. Hopefully these measures give the company a good basis to ensure a healthy base the enterprise.
Meanwhile Precious Woods Europe started working on a new product concept. Besides rough, sawn, dried and planed timber, Precious Woods Europe looks for possibilities to offer more value added products. First results are promising and further information will follow within a few months.
